Alumnior: the beginning of an adventure

Wrap-up of the first edition
July 2, 2025

On June 27th, OpenHub had the pleasure of concluding a brand new program: Alumnior, an initiative created to foster a network of alumni entrepreneurs, bearers of ideas and experiences to share.

For this final session, it is in the heart of Odoo's offices that we gathered participants, mentors, and curious onlookers, in an atmosphere that was both professional and warm.

A moment of transmission and sincerity

Professor Benoit Macq opened the evening with an engaging talk on the essential role of entrepreneurship at the university. This introduction led to a rare testimony from Antony Lesuisse (CTO of Odoo), who candidly discussed the unconventional decisions that shaped Odoo's rapid growth.

Committed pitches, driven by concrete projects

They then took the stage to share their vision, defend their solution, and express their doubts and aspirations.

• Bernard Lacroix – RiverGrid, software for mini-hydroelectric plants

• Vincianne Gilard – Gas’n Roses, pico-methanization

• Jérôme Leclère & Arthur Pisvin – AIMIS, smart cameras for events

• Vincent Parissis – OSHIMED, rethought clinical trials

• Léa Paulus & Benoît Legat – VMC simulation

• Renaud De Landtsheer – RoutaR, route optimization

• François Vermaut – Elevant.AI, business transformation tool

A collective dynamic that is just beginning

This program was made possible through a close collaboration with AILouvain - Alumni Engineers Louvain, and the commitment of an entire community mobilized to support ideas towards their realization.

Alumnior is not an end. It is a starting point.

A first chapter in the construction of an ecosystem where ideas circulate, clash, and strengthen each other.
